It’s time for our Spring Open House for Roane State Community College Cumberland Campus! This includes the academic building, the Cumberland Business Incubator, and the Maker Space. Check out both buildings and take the opportunity to meet our staff, volunteers, and tenants; get information about college courses – be sure to ask about Tennessee Reconnect, Dual Enrollment, and Middle College; Workforce Development, Maker Space, or other classes that are offered; learn what we do to help small businesses at the CBI – including the WORC grant that can help pay for classes and trainings; and enjoy refreshments – at each building! (The CBI will be having delicious cookies provided by the sweet ladies from the Cumberland County School Nutrition Program!)

Roane State Community College’s Cumberland Business Incubator (CBI) will be hosting an Open House on April 13th from 1:00-3:00pm Central Time. The community is invited to the Open House to network, meet CBI entrepreneurs and business representatives, mentors and volunteers, tour the Maker Space and see samples of the projects completed in the Maker Space. The Cumberland Business Incubator Maker Space is almost ready! The laser cutter is vented to the outside, mirrors are aligned, and the cutting has begun! The vinyl cutter has been cutting symbols and signs and will be cutting out our newly developed Maker Space logo next! The 3D printer is working on parts almost every day. Hand tools are in place as are the embroidery sewing machine, miter saw, router, band saw, electronics station…….and more! What a great day it was at the CBI on Thursday September 12th starting in the early morning when our clients and friends started bringing in their materials and setting up their marketing areas throughout the building.
